SMS Consent & Opt-In Disclosure

Last Updated: March 12, 2026

This page explains how Valvos collects customer consent to receive SMS messages, what messages customers can expect, and how to opt out at any time.

How Customers Opt In

Customers provide consent to receive SMS messages from Valvos-powered service businesses in the following ways:

Inbound Phone Call

When a customer calls a business phone number powered by Valvos and the call is missed, they will receive an automated SMS follow-up. By initiating the inbound call to the business number, the customer consents to receive SMS communications related to their inquiry. No prior opt-in action is required beyond the act of calling.

Inbound Text Message

When a customer sends an SMS to a Valvos-powered business number to initiate a service request, the act of texting constitutes consent to receive automated SMS replies related to their service inquiry, booking, or request.

Types of Messages Customers Receive

After opting in, customers may receive the following types of messages:

All messages are transactional — directly related to a service interaction initiated by the customer. Valvos does not send recurring marketing messages.

Message Frequency

Customers typically receive 3–8 messages per service interaction, depending on the number of touchpoints in the service journey (inquiry → quote → booking → reminder → invoice → review). Message frequency is not recurring — it is tied directly to active service requests initiated by the customer.

Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your mobile carrier will apply to all SMS messages sent and received. Contact your carrier for details on your messaging plan.
